A Postulant at Last!

As we mentioned in our previous post, Aspirant Hannah has now officially entered the monastery! On May 31st, she knelt at the enclosure door with her parents for the simple but beautiful entrance ceremony. Later that day, she donned the white blouse, black jumper, and short black veil of a postulant, visibly marking this new and important step in her vocational journey.

In the weeks leading up to her entrance day, Hannah had a number of gatherings with family and friends to celebrate and say goodbye. At one such event, Fr. Corey Bruns (a mutual friend of the community and Hannah) presided over a Holy Hour. That much was planned — but then he surprised Hannah with a special homily written just for the occasion! With her permission, we share the text of that beautiful little exhortation below.

Please keep our newest postulant and her family in your prayers as she begins this year of more intensively seeking the Lord at our monastery!
