"Junior" Vocation Retreat

The last weekend of July, some girls from Steubenville, Ohio came for a “junior” vocation retreat. The “Wildflowers,” as they call themselves, are a girls’ middle/high school youth group that combines faith with outdoor adventure, and it was a joy to host them for the weekend! They listened to talks on discernment, the Liturgy of the Hours, and our Passionist Charism, as well as joining the Sisters for prayer and recreation.

Of course, we couldn’t let four extra sets of hands go to waste when there are tiles to blend … and these “outdoorswomen” were right up to the task! One and all pitched in with enthusiasm, and we prepared several pallets for the roofers. (The last of the old concrete tiles were removed last week, and the new clay tiles are being whisked away to re-cover the roof as soon as they are ready!)
