Behind the Veil

Last month, our community participated in a virtual vocation event called “Behind the Veil #3” where discerning women could learn more about different forms of consecrated life. A group called Vocation Ministry began to organize and hosted this live-stream program last year, when pandemic restrictions made in-person “Come and See” visits impossible for many discerners. The first two events were so well-received that they decided to continue the series even after most communities began welcoming visitors again.

“Behind the Veil #3” was a great success, with over 200 participants attending all or part of the day-long event. The feedback was very positive — 4.6 out of 5 stars overall — and 100% of the discerners surveyed said that they would recommend this program to a friend. Our community’s session saw over half of the participants wanting to learn more about Passionist life, and more than 90% said that they came to a greater understanding of the various forms of consecrated life through our presentation. Our “Day in the Life” video even got a special mention in the comments!
