COME! Learn About Passionist Life

What does a day as a Passionist Nun look like? Can you share your vocation stories? What was your first exposure to contemplative life?

We heard these and many more questions over the past 5 weeks as we had 5 individuals/groups visit us to learn about Passionist contemplative life. They hailed from Texas via Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee, Utica - about 45 minutes from our monastery, northern Ohio, southeast Kansas and Louisville, Kentucky.

This group from Utica, KY not only came for a vocation visit but they also volunteered a half day a week for about 8 weeks this past summer. They vacuumed, cleaned bathrooms and made beds in the retreat house, prepped food for a big family visit, washed our vehicles inside and out and did a lot of weeding and gardening and a plethora of other things - Ya'll are fantastic! May God be your reward!

Olivia first visited us last summer during a Nun Run from northern Ohio. She liked this "little monastery in Kentucky" so much that she kept in touch over the past year and returned for a weeklong monastic live-in. Please do keep her in your prayers as she hopes to be a Passionist Nun some day - This is our hope as well!

Theresa first visited us last summer with another family, she returned for our vocation retreat last November and this year returned for a 43 hour discernment retreat. Please keep her in prayer as she begins college this fall. Come again Theresa!

This photographer forgot to get photos of our Nashville and Kansas visitors. :(  They'll just have to come again for another visit!
